Bebé
Born into a family of musicians and artists, Bebé (21 years old) has been standing out early in the national scene for her unique vocal tone. She has been compared to jazz divas such as Billie Holiday and Sarah Vaughan, and caught the attention of Jô Soares, who invited her for an interview on his talk show Programa do Jô back in 2011.
In 2016, her passion for jazz divas led her to perform Billie Holiday songs. At the invitation of conductor Jamil Maluf, she sang accompanied by the Piracicaba Symphony Orchestra. In 2019, she performed at Sala São Paulo with the Brasil Jazz Sinfônica, where she was awarded as a New Talent Revelation. In 2020, also with the Brasil Jazz Sinfônica, she participated in a Women’s Tribute concert at Ibirapuera, sharing the stage with Roberta Sá, Fafá de Belém, Leila Pinheiro, Anavitória, among other great artists.
In 2021, she released her first self-written album “Bebé”, funded by ProAc (2019) and produced by Sergio Machado Plim, bringing a new sonic aesthetic. She was named by CNN as one of the 10 singers set to change Brazilian music, and nominated for Breakthrough Artist of the Year at the Women’s Music Events Awards 22, APCA, and the PPM Awards.
Bebé has performed internationally at MIL Festival Lisboa and Festivals, and in Brazil on major stages such as Primavera Sound São Paulo, Audio, Cine Joia, Circo Voador, Coquetel Molotov, and Boogie Week. Recently, she collaborated with rapper BK’ on his latest album ICARUS.
Recognized as one of the great promises of Brazilian music, she is currently focused on her second self-written project, “SALVE-SE!”, released in May 2024 under Coala Records. With this work, she has already performed at Coala Festival (SP), Rock The Mountain (RJ), Se Rasgum (PA), Radioca (BA), Sesc Consolação, and Sesc Pompeia.
