Jaloo sees herself as a mutant being. She first appeared androgynous, then embraced long hair, later shaved her head — transformations that are never just aesthetic. “It’s all part of a cycle, of a moment, and of my creative process. I live in constant movement,” she explains.

Her debut album “#1”, with artistic direction by Carlos Eduardo Miranda, drew attention not only for beats, lyrics, and melodies, but also for her ability to successfully engage in every stage of the creative process: composing, singing, interpreting, remixing, arranging, and producing.

On stage, Jaloo built a strong bond with her audience, performing at major venues and festivals such as Lollapalooza, Bananada, Milkshake, Contrapedal, Coquetel Molotov, and Virada Cultural.

In the audiovisual world, Jaloo directed and scripted her own music videos for “Insight”, “Ah! Dor!”, “Chuva”, and “Last Dance”, which sparked significant interest. She was later invited to direct videos for other artists, including “Apologia às Virgens Mães” by As Bahias e a Cozinha Mineira.

Her involvement in cinema continued with her acting debut in Monique Gardenberg’s film “Paraíso Perdido” (2018). In 2020, she took on musical direction for Gaby Amarantos’ second album, where she also produced, composed, and sang on the track “Tchau”.

In 2021, Jaloo adopted a new persona, “Amado”, and formed the band Os Amantes, alongside the duo Strobo. Together, they released a 10-track record, featuring standout songs like “Linda” and “Cotijuba”.
