Dj Malsson
Malsson is an Oulu native DJ and producer whose feet are sunk deep into dub infused soil.
Being a fan and avid listener of dub related music, he co-founded the dub techno focused DJ collective Space Installation DJs in 2018. The collective has made their mark in the Oulu underground by producing events such as KUPLA, geared towards dub techno loving individuals, and those looking to immerse themselves in a genre specific, comprehensive experience of dub techno. The group have also been busy playing records at local venues as well as their other own underground genre specific events such as Varikko, which takes a deep dive into jungle and drum and bass.
Malsson's path as a DJ has always reflected his musical interests and naturally, also shaped his approach to music production. Taking a peak and listen into his subterranean studio, you're sure to recognize heavy basslines, echoes, and stabby chords - classic elements of dub music.
Naturally evolving and an experimental perspective are the elements that define his collaboration with Paranoid London, as well as his process working on his latest two-tracker EP release, "City Dubs."
The vault has been opened, and more music is to come.
