About
I am a Vancouver-born songwriter whose deep commitment to justice and the earth permeates everything I do. Using my skills as a performer, speaker and choral collaborator, I champion environmental causes and work to build community wherever I go. Now 33, my humble beginnings of frontline activism and community fundraising have bloomed into an international touring career that has seem me playing festivals and conferences in the UK, Germany, USA, India and Canada. My brand of politically charged folk has gained me a loyal following and a reputation as a modern-day Pete Seeger. From festivals to rallies to venues, I am hopeful that my music is becoming a rallying cry for a movement of people rising up to meet the social and environmental challenges of our time. My latest singles “Be the Arc” and “Same Side” continue to push the boundaries of folk music and aim to prove that art can be a powerful tool for change.
Project Goals for the next 6-12 Months
Increasing touring, opportunities to speak at environmental/social justice conferences and I also work a lot with community choirs, so am always looking for chances top do that too.
