Faisal Kiwewa

Faisal is the founder and Artistic Director of Bayimba Foundation, where he has played a pivotal role in transforming Uganda’s arts scene into a vibrant, dynamic landscape. Under his leadership, Bayimba has trained, supported, and created platforms that celebrate the arts, becoming a renowned name not only in Uganda but across East Africa and beyond. He has organised numerous festivals and events, including the internationally acclaimed Bayimba International Festival of the Arts, now in its 16th edition. A sought-after programmer, curator, jury member, speaker, and trainer, Faisal also contributes his expertise to several boards worldwide, further amplifying his impact on the global arts community.
