Nikita Llerena

Nikita Llerena is the Project Manager of Flow at In Place of War, leading the development and coordination of the project.

She is an international cultural organiser, social entrepreneur, producer, and storyteller working at the intersection of art, culture, Indigenous knowledge, and social transformation. She co-founded Aîbaibu Kayawai - Women Who Heal, an Indigenous women's association in the Brazilian Amazon, and the IRIS Institute, a movement that brings together Indigenous leaders, artists, scientists, and changemakers through dialogue across knowledge systems. Nikita is also the co-author of the children's book The Secret of the Amazon Artisans (Brazil, 2025).

She is currently based in Finland, where she is pursuing a Master's degree in Intercultural Encounters at the University of Helsinki.
