About
Jack Chown (kiskadee) is a composer and artist whose work blurs the boundaries between organic and electronic sound. Known for his cinematic and emotionally charged compositions, he has scored award-winning films, international campaigns, and large-scale art installations exploring the intersection of sound, place, and human connection. Recent projects include Stolen Gold (Pulse Films / ESPN - IDA Nominated), Bad Goods and Cowboy Kings of Crypto (Vice Studios), and branded work for Nike, Sony, Vogue, Porsche, and Asahi. His collaboration with Guy Ritchie on Touching Hands earned him a Music & Sound Award. Under his artist moniker kiskadee, his debut album A Room to Breathe (2024) earned acclaim from BBC 6 Music, BBC Radio 1, Clash, and Complex, followed by performances at Glastonbury, Green Man, and Wilderness. He is also the founder of Thought Collective, a boutique studio specialising in original music and sound for film, art, and advertising.
Project Goals for the next 6-12 Months
My primary goal over the next 6-12 months is to develop my installation work! Myself and Neal Coghlan (Studio Aszyk) presented Photo//Synthesis in 2025 in Jersey using photogrammetry to scan plants and turn them into digital artworks that the audience could interact with. I'd love to root this work in data and other environments!
