Portrait XO (she/they) is a transdisciplinary artist, musician, independent researcher, and data activist working at the intersection of sound, AI, and ecological futures.
Recipient of Musikfonds Artificial Intelligence Scholarship Programme (STIP-5) 2026, and the first German human-AI Jazzki Award by ELBJAZZ 2023, her research-driven performances and installations have been supported by residencies including NEW NOW Festival, BBA Gallery, Factory Berlin x Sónar+D, and the ZKM/Hellerau Global Sonic Research Residency. She is the founder of SOUND OBSESSED, a community for hybrid artists exploring computational creativity. She’s been presenting and performing her latest project ‘The Cost of Connection (2024)’, an audiovisualsonification of The UN’s Sustainable Development Goals data, and Boundaries of Agency (2025), an interactive voice installation and spatial performance where audiences engage with AI-cloned versions of their own voices to reflect on identity, ethics, and collective ecological futures with live performed audiovisuals.
