Mohammad Javad Tavazonizadeh

Mohammad (24) is a composer, setar player, and performance artist who blends traditional Iranian music with contemporary composition. He has a bachelor and master’s degree in composition from Tehran University of Art in 2022 and is currently studying Global Music at Sibelius Academy in Finland. His works have received awards at the National Festival of Youth Music and have been performed internationally. Influenced by Persian poetry and Middle Eastern traditions, Mohammad has recently started to explore performance art and is motivated to build his expertise in nature sound recording as part of his work.
