Francesca Linares

Francesca (30) is a Peruvian musician and researcher who moved to London in 2018 to pursue a music career. She recently completed a part-time MA in Music while working a retail job to support her studies. During this time she discovered the field of ecomusicology and soundscapes, which completely reshaped her perspective on the power of sound and its role in environmental awareness.

In 2024, she returned to Peru to conduct her dissertation’s fieldwork research, 'Climate Change, Ritual Performance, and Cultural Memory in the Peruvian Andes: Huascarán'.
