Grisbeiro ‘Tinto’ Gonzáles

Uribia, Colombia

Tinto (25) is from the Wayuu indigenous community and was born and raised in Venezuela. A few years ago he moved to Uribia, Colombia, due to the harsh economic situation in his country. He got his nickname, 'Tinto', because one of the many jobs he does to support himself is selling coffee. Despite many challenges, Tinto completed his school studies and is currently attending university. He is interested in the natural world and dedicated to community work to improve conditions in the refugee camp where he lives.

Partner organisation:

Tinto’s participation will be facilitated with support from Archivo de Música Original, a cultural organisation based in Uruguay and working across Latin America and beyond.
