Natural Connections is a new EP from In Place of War, fusing the rich musical traditions of Myanmar with the UK music scene.
Drawing on soundscapes recorded by community members in Myanmar’s climate-impacted regions, eight traditional musicians from Yangon utilised these sounds to create new music with ancestral instruments.
UK artists, Mel Uye-Parker and Lucy Tun then wove these elements into tracks that blended both musical worlds for two brand new tracks, which will be released as an EP on 3 April 2026.

A brand new single from The Last Scream album series is being released on the 30th of December 2025, written by acclaimed UK fiddle player and composer Owen Spafford and featuring the sounds of the extinct dusky seaside sparrow (Ammospiza maritima nigrescens).

The release of Poq follows the debut album in The Last Scream series released earlier this year. The series aims to raise awareness of connections between climate change, biodiversity loss and extinction, using the voices of diverse species and the extraordinary artists who have created new music with them. Climate change and biodiversity loss have been linked throughout Earth’s history, but human activities in the modern era are accelerating both at unprecedented rates, with feedback loops worsening both crises.

Including tracks from Brian Eno, Coldcut, Kate Simko, Laima Leyton, Martyn Ware, Matthew Dear, Osunlade, and more. Each using sounds and field recordings from the unique Cucusonic sound archive created by a diverse group of local communities, bio-scientists and anthropologists.
Released on digital and a 100% recycled physical release - Double 180g vinyl made from 100% recycled PVC pellets and 100% recycled 12” sleeves and inners.
